Getting Somewhere

These are what I have been working on this week

The knife is CPM 154 CM, BOS heat treated, 3.5 inch hollow
ground blade  with carbon fiber on a 4 inch tapered tang.

I had previously made the knife and the original sheath was the
top sheath. Beau wanted something he could clip to his belt.

These are 3 knives i have been attempting to finish this week. The first comes
from a blade I found at a thrift store. It was a big long kitchen knife that was
stamped 440 and did't twang and bend, so I bought it to play with. the middle is
CPM 3V from a batch that I had started about 3 years ago, I just never finished it.
The big one is CPM 154 and it is going in my kitchen, soon. Each one features a
flat grind and a tapered tang.  I will hopefully finish them this week.

First pics

These are just a few of the knives I have made. None of them are for sale. Basically, I was trying to figure out how to post pictures.  I hope it works and I hope you like them.  I have enjoyed making them. The next thing to learn is how to take decent pictures.

This knife my wife designed. It is 154 CPM with a bird's eye maple handle.  I have made several variations of this knife, it really is quite popular.

This knife I call SWCC. I made it for a buddy of mine. The blade is 3V, the handle is G10.  It has a unique forward edge in that it is not there. I figured for a piercing weapon it did not need to be as sharp as it needed to be strong.

This I made for a buddy who went to Iraq. Fortunately he came home.

This knife has a hand forged blade by my uncle Ted Harris. He gave me the blade and I ground it, put a handle on it , and gave it to my best friend.

This was my first attempt at what I call the Hymas and what my wife calls the pirate knife. It is a work in progress but it is cool.

New blog

I am starting a blog to showcase my knives and offer my services as a custom knife maker. This is the first time that I have started a blog. I have no idea how to do this.  It should be fun.
